Being a Dad

CHOREMONSTER DADS ON BEING A DAD

Sadly I was off on the Disney vacation during the time the video was made so sadly I wasn’t able to take part. But below are my answers to the questions.

How many kids do you have?

One boy name Lincoln age 3 and just found out we have another on the way.

What’s their favorite thing in the world to do?

He loves to dress up in costumes and he has about 10 of them, All the Avengers, some DC Comic Heros, and Captain Hook and Peter Pan

What is something about them that you love/enjoy?

I love how his memory works. He’ll bring something up out of no where like it happened yesterday and it was something from 6 months ago.

Is there a “parenting moment” that stands out in your mind?

Rushing him to the hospital. When he was a little over 1 he had an allergic reaction to eggs the day before Easter and got hives all over his body. We rushed him to the hospital after the epinephrine he threw up all over me, but I just held him closer. It was one of the most terrifying moments of my life, but luckily we know now that he is allergic to Peanuts and Eggs and we are always prepared wherever we go.

What is your favorite memory of being a Dad?

Taking my son to Disney for the first time and just seeing his excitement when he saw Mickey and the other characters.

When did it hit you that you were a father?

Second night at the hospital after he was born. He woke up with the hiccups and I just remember holding him until they went away. I also video’d it on my phone.

Whats the greatest thing you’ve learned about yourself being a father?

New way to love, there is nothing like the love a parent has for their child.

Whats the job description of a father?

24/7 on call, More then just being around, but really giving your child the time and attention they need and deserve.

What do you want to impart on your kids?

To trust and believe in God in everything he does.
